Whangaparoa Medical Centre is owned by Dr Antony and the practice is managed by his wife Maggie.  The practice is located centrally across the road from the plaza with a view of Rangitoto from each room.  We are privileged to have worked with our local community for the past 15-25 years. Dr Antony and his wife have raised their family in the Whangaparaoa area.

We offer high quality medical care. Our staff are very professional/but with a personal touch. The practice has a very relaxing atmosphere with our beautiful views from our waiting room & Drs consultant rooms.

Whangaparaoa Medical Centre was opened originally by Dr. Don Dalziel, followed by Dr. Grant Spence and Dr. Wendy Marshall.  Dr Cecil Antony continued on from December 2000 maintaining the quality of practice that had been established from those early days.

On 17th December 2007 the practice moved to the new premises – 16 Wade River Road. Dr Aideen Hawkins started as a permanent associate at the end of 2007 to give women the choice of seeing a female doctor. The practice provides a complete health service for the family. 

We continue to provide free services for under 13 year olds and also provide specialised procedures such as minor surgery, IUD insertion, Jadelle, cryotherapy (Liquid Nitrogen) and family counselling. The practice is still taking new patients and is part of the Rural General Practice Placement for Auckland University Medical School which provides training to medical students and Royal NZ college of GP for GP training. The doctors are committed to having a teaching role for future generations of doctors.
